Dr. Delron Shirley is founder and president of Teach All Nations Mission, an evangelical educational ministry. He is also the director of the School of Missions at Charis Bible College in Colorado Springs and serves as a consultant for Every Home for Christ in their discipleship department. Before moving to Colorado, Delron served for twenty‐five years as dean of World Harvest Bible College and Indiana Christian University under the late Dr. Lester Sumrall and worked as a chaplain in Yosemite National Park.

The ministry of Teach All Nations Mission takes him and his wife throughout the world where they teach in conferences for national pastors and leaders. In addition to the ministry to the nationals, Delron and Peggy are strongly committed to inspiring others to go beyond their borders to share the Good News; thus, they lead several mission trips each year to introduce teams of students to life on the mission field.

As a tireless writer, Delron has published numerous books, many of which have been translated into the languages of the countries where he ministers.

Peggy Shirley has an active and varied ministry. As an ordained minister, she serves as a chaplain at the county jail in Colorado Springs where she lives. She also teaches at Charis Bible College and travels into many foreign countries as a short‐term missionary.

One distinctive area of calling for her has been to help women find, develop, and use their gifts from the Lord. Her “Women for the Harvest” classes and seminars around the country and abroad have helped women to find release from emotional and spiritual bondages and have set countless women free to step out and serve the Lord in whatever capacity He has called them to.

Peggy also teaches a class on “Pulling Down Strongholds” and she has written a book for this class as well as her Women for the Harvest class which is now published in 12 languages around the world.

Worship Leader

Ashley Woodard has been in worship ministry for over 15 years. Coming from a long line of musicians, Ashley’s heart and soul is rooted in Christian music – including camp songs, old hymns, and modern worship as well as dabbled a little in some old school rock and roll here and there. Ashley has released two CD’s in her career. The first in 2006 and her sophomore album in 2007, called Amazed by Grace. Aside from leading worship, Ashley has written and co‐written numerous songs – as well as re‐written some classic hymns with a more contemporary vibe.

Ashley brings energy and life to worship and strives to hear God’s voice speaking to her and others. Most of her time is spent as interim worship leader in various churches. When she isn’t leading she attends Hillsdale Methodist church in Advance, NC. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her sweet dog, Mocha, reading and learning new music!

DOC Members and Friends,

During the Christmas season I thought about the promise in Isaiah 7:14, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” The long awaited Messiah was born. Yet the announcement was made to relatively few: some shepherds whose smart phones wouldn’t connect to the internet so they were stuck watching the sheep, a few wise men who were not Jewish and therefore not part of the chosen people, and a King heard it but hardly with joy. However, the deed was done. The faithful Mary and Joseph had obeyed the Lord. The census trip was over. A manger was available. A chosen few worshipped. That’s really what the scripture said would happen; a virgin will conceive and give birth to a son. Mary and Joseph, as instructed by the angel, named him Jesus, not Immanuel. Yet his name is Immanuel for God is with us. The news disseminated slowly but surely. The birth cannot be changed. It is now incumbent upon us to make a faith response to the sign given by God.

DOC is part of fostering the faith response to the news that Immanuel has come. Plans for the 2017 summer retreat are unfolding and there are a few changes for the retreat.

  1. The registration change is as follows: if your form is received after the deadline published in the brochure, room reservation at Caraway is on an as available basis. That means, if we still have a room reserved for DOC you will be registered with no problem. If we need an additional room, we will not contact Caraway until we have a check for full payment for the retreat. After we receive your check, Caraway will be contacted. If they can accommodate the room request you will be registered and notified of your registration. If no room is available your check will be returned or destroyed at your request and you may seek accommodations in Asheboro.
  2. If you owe a balance, a notice of the amount due will be provided to you at the time of retreat check in at Caraway. Please be prepared to complete your transaction when you check in.
  3. Emergency contact information is required for all participants. Please include a phone number and email for your contact person(s).
  4. Youths aged 3-5 will be charged $60 for meals. Youths 6-17 will be charged $120. There is no room charge for youths. Both were previously charged $75.

Sincerely,
Andy Freeman
